The Heart of the Mystery
Published in Paperback by LA Chevre D'or Pr (June, 1995)
Average review score:

A book to guide one into that KNOWING where all is silence. These eight discourses explore the soul's journey from the slumber of unawareness, through the obstacles and changes of everyday life, to the possibility of awakening to one's ultimate identity; a spiritual teaching free from the limits of tradition and institution, transmitted by one who himself has passed through the Heart of the Mystery. The purpose of the book is to guide the reader into that KNOWING where all is silence, into that BEING where all is life. The discourses are enlivened by hunor and metaphor, deepened by compassion, eloquence and piercing clarity. But more important, the truth radiates shining between the words. As a scholar in the fields of philosophy, history and comparative religions, Dr McCafferty offers a unique teaching. His perceptive intelligence penetrates to the core of spiritual traditions East and West and his awakened spiritual consciousness imparts directly the Mystery of Being which lies beyond words.

Hebrew and Aramaic Incantation Texts from the Cairo Genazah: Selected Texts from Taylor-Schechler Box K1
Published in Hardcover by Sheffield Academic Pr (January, 1992)
Average review score:

Hebrew and Aramaic Languanges are breath of GodAs I consider this book is really inspired by God, because for me Hebrew and Aramaic are languages that really originated from God - Himself. So using this as an incantation is really wonderful and very extra ordinary because million of His angels will respond to the invocation and guard and do the bidding of the conjurer. So I hope that all occult student who wants to know the wisdom of God may know his secret and never give to uninitiated idiot.

The Henry Miller Reader (New Directions Paperbook, 269)
Published in Paperback by New Directions Publishing (June, 1969)
Average review score:

Henry Miller ReaderEdited by Lawerence Durrell, The Henry Miller Reader encapsulates some of the very best of Miller's writings. It includes sections from the Tropic books, Black Spring, and Big Sur and the Oranges of Hieronymus Bosch. I have the 1956 New Directions edition of the book, and I don't know whether it has been re-edited since that point, but any erotic, or sexual content had to be strained out for the censors. What is left is pure genius. There is a wonderful section on Alfred Perles...otherwise known as "Joey," to those familar with Miller's work. His insights on the writings of Anais Nin hold a certain poignancy in light of their twenty year relationship which both writers had to withold from their readers; Ms. Nin was married still to Hugh Guiller. I would highly recommend this book be purchased along with The Tropic of Cancer, or any other of his works.

History Of Western Architecture
Published in Paperback by McGraw-Hill Humanities/Social Sciences/Languages (22 February, 1989)
Average review score:

A good general look at the history of western architectureWodehouse and Moffett do a good job of jamming the whole history of western arcitecture into an easy to read compact work. They cover the biggies and touch on the lesser known but important works. There are ample illustrations and notations to diagrams and photographs. The writing is interesting and not full of boring technical jargan. This book is an excelent jumping off point for a time period or to get an overview of architecture in general. There is so much information one could get bogged down in, especially in the past century of architecture, but Wodehouse and Moffett charge on ahead without becoming stuck. This book is certanily not the end all of any time period, but for casual scholors of architecture or those who need to know about a building in X time period, this a great book.

Holistic Health Handbook
Published in Paperback by Morris Publishing (30 March, 2000)
Average review score:

Extraordinary source for regional holistic health care! This is a fabulous guidebook for holistic health care in the California and surrounding areas. It eliminates the guesswork when attempting to discover the best healer for your particular malady as it provides practitioners who have been recommended by other practitioners. Therefore the reader knows it's sources are highly thought of, as well as successful in the holistic field. The handbook's diversity in the range of practitioners, as well as the concise explanations of various modalities, allows the general public to know and understand the methods used for different maladies. I strongly recommend this book, for the novice as well as the seasoned individual, as a wonderful, easy to understand handbook when searching for alternative health care.
